Decay of Stargate, Blood & Chrome, some more Syfy HATE, and yeah I’m MAD!

With the Stargate movies shelved indefinitely it seems we will not see any more Stargate for some generations…Sadly no fourth Stargate series. But I don’t think that means the end, it’ll probably be rebooted maybe in a decade or two. Does that mean I’m going to stop protesting? NO! The Syfy channel and MGM will continue to face repercussions for their poor executive decisions in the canceling of Stargate Atlantis and their non-support of the SG1 & SGA movies.

A while ago Syfy made another HUGE mistake. Despite much fan resistance they cancelled the Battlestar Galactica prequel, Caprica. Tsk, tsk, tsk. What a horrible decision. Does the Syfy channel even have any science fiction shows left on there channel besides reruns? Seems like all they air on Syfy these days are crappy monster movies and smackdown wrestling. Um. Seriously? Join the Save Caprica facebook page for more on this matter.

Now I hear they’re making another BSG prequel, Blood and Chrome? Pathetic. They can’t just ax these shows replace them like that. Frankly I myself will be boycotting the new show, why not? I’ve already been boycotting the Syfy channel since its worst decision ever in 2008 August 20, the cancellation of Stargate Atlantis.

The Syfy channel really needs to be taken down. I think its way too late in the game for it to be reformed. Especially since its rebranding from Scifi to Syfy also in 2008. Its almost like they purposely put non-science fiction shows and crappy movies on their channel…I don’t understand it. If they keep going in this destructive direction they are going to face consequences. I’ve already had my heart broken three times by their poor executive decisions:

1. the cancellation of Atlantis.

2. The permanent shelving of the Stargate movies

3. The cancellation of Caprica

Any much more of these horrendous decisions and Syfy will face much more than a simple multi-fandom uprising.

NEW VIDEO: The Death of Stargate? /// NEW BANNERS!

SG1 passed away. Then Atlantis. Now like a grave-robber SGU mocks everything Stargate once stood for. TPTB took Stargate Atlantis away from us and now they desecrate it’s remains. They spit and laugh like demons as their zombie child–BattleGateVoyager90210 runs around biting people, turning them into mindless SGU lovers.

There is no real Stargate on TV anymore. No you see, Stargate died with SG1 and Atlantis…they were real science fiction. Stargate Universe? It is nothing more than a space soap with unappealing characters, unappealing plots, pathetic acting, shaky vomit inducing cameras, no actual lighting, crude & distasteful sex, no action, super fake blue aliens, recycled enemies (the Lucian Alliance), overdone mantras like ‘we’re the wrong people in the wrong place’–damn right they are, and not to mention the Destiny is one boring ship.

On other news, the Stargate Movies Campaign is in full throttle protest mode for the Stargate movies to be greenlit–this includes SG1’s Stargate Revolution and SGA’s Extinction (ironic name isn’t it?).  It’s doubtful whether the movies will be produced if the rights to Stargate are owned by the now bankrupt MGM. Mallozi and other producers/writers have stated that if there is a Stargate movie the SG1 movie will come first.

There’s just something wrong about how they’re treating SGA. I’m sorry, I truly am a SG1 fan, but it already had 10 seasons and two movies. Stargate Atlantis should come first. So please, if you’ve got a moment go check out the SG Movies Campaign on facebook, youtube, livejournal, and twitter!

Gate Fans Have Spoken! (+38,000 signatures & NEW banners/avatars)

Stargate fans and science fiction lovers from all across the globe have spoken–we don’t like Stargate Universe. It’s lame, fake, and boring. You’d have to put me in handcuffs, and get me drunk to watch that distasteful shit. Unfortunately those who have any negative criticisms whatsoever can no longer post at GateWorld (the largest Stargate fansite known to date). As the site owner, Darren, recently announced words “like ‘crap’ and ‘stupid’ and ‘idiot’ aren’t respectful to anyone” and GateWorld moderators will continue to “delete posts where readers insist on voicing their discontent through hate and insult“.

It’s sad that GateWorld is officially undergoing censorship. Thankfully, there is still a refuge for stargate fans to voice their dislike of BattleGate 90210 at SGUsucks.com (to which this site is now officially partnered with). SGU Actor Struggles with Bad Reviews & NEW Banners/Avatars!

Stargate Universe’s co-star Brian J. Smith who plays Lt. Matthew Scott (a gross looking, military, sex addict) confesses that the majority of Stargate fans are fed up with the new show. Smith claims that the fans aren’t open-minded enough if they don’t like it, and that they need to take time to ‘transition’. What a load of crap. Honestly, this guy needs to wake up from the little fantasy world he’s living in; SGU has no depth, its slow, its boring, and the cast is absolutely annoying!

There’s a sense of ownership from a lot of fans that’s amazing and rare, but it’s also dangerous” says Smith.

SyFy, MGM, and Brad Wright have freaken betrayed the SGA fandom. How dare they cancel our show, and replace it with a piece of crap like SGU. This is utterly disturbing. Absolutely troubling! Within these current weeks, I’ll make sure to bring hell to TPTB. I’ll be sending letters, emails, and all the freaken citrus fruits I can find. I WANT MY SHOW BACK.

Now after all this, I’m hearing that they’ve axed the Atlantis movie?!  See here for the depressing news. Also, the Atlantis props being sold off to the highest bidder, so that’s a basically a confirmation that there will be no movie. All the while this is coupled with the fact that they’ve arrogantly blocked all attempts at emailing them, by blacklisting all SGA-cancellation related matters, and have continually changed their email addresses. Just see here to read about SyFy executive Dave Howe bragging about blocking all our email attempts. What a damn liar!!

Currently the petition is over 37,000 signatures (at least that’s good).

Plans big marketing push; buys up negative domain names

NBC Universal’s Sci Fi is giving away the Internet to promote its July 7 rebrand to Syfy, but is also taking away a few choice domain names in the process. The cable outfit will promote its rebrand with a flurry of marketing initiatives, including giveaways of free wireless access at various locales in New York City (dubbed WyFy From Syfy, of course).

Sci Fi executives, however, know there are still detractors in the network’s legendarily passionate demo. So they took pre-emptive measures, snapping up several negative domain names including SyfySucks.com. Some still got through the cracks, such as NoSyfy.com. That site inveighs against the network’s “wrestling and ghost hunting” programs and conveniently supplies Howe’s office phone and e-mail address.

Nevertheless, Howe says, “I haven’t had an e-mail for two months despite the fact that my name is very prominent in chat rooms and on message boards. When we cancelled Stargate Atlantis, I had upward of 150 e-mails a day for six months. So the fact that I’ve had fewer than 20 e-mails in four months says to me that people really do understand why we’re doing this.”

That’s bullshit and they know it. They’ve been blocking all emails SGA related, and changing their emails consistently since the cancellation.

Atlantis in Despair/New banners

I know that the fight is drawing to end. It is unwise to think this battle will last forever. But still, let us hope, let us prolong, in this war. MGM, Scifi, and the producers have made a grave mistake. Let us hope they see the errors in their ways. We shall not give up merely because we are tired, nor shall we draw near to failure.
